Domain Information

Transferring a domain can seem to be a daunting concept yet it is relatively straight forward and there is no cost to transfer a domain.

Things you will need in order to do the transfer:

• 1. Your domain name and
• 2. The domain password or authorisation key.
  (You should be able to acquire this information from the hosting company).

Once you have this information and you provide it to us, the steps are pretty simple:

• 1. Once you have authorised us to transfer your domain to our server, we will send a request to your current hosting company to transfer your domain to our server,
• 2. For security reasons your current Hosting company will send you an authorisation to transfer, all you have to do is reply and agree that transfer is at your request,
• 3. Once this has been processed it can take up to 48 hours for the transfer,
• 4. After which time your domain will be on our server and we will be able to provide you with details to gain access to your new account, these details include cPanel, Webmail, Email, etc.

Things to consider before transferring your website:

• 1. Have you backed up your website, so once the transfer is complete you can upload the site to the new server without having any down time,
• 2. Have you backed up your email accounts, this is for ease of access once your site is on the new server.

If you require us to back and restore your website for the transfer we are more than will and able to assist you in this process, for the transfer of your website to your new server we do charge $70.00 for the process.
